Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world
Anne and William Rothenberg Scholarship Fund, Inc., a 501(c) (3) organization was established in August, 2012 by Kolu K. Baysah in memory of Anne and William Rothenberg, two educators who believed that education was a basic Human Right. Together, they championed and devoted time and resources to open doors to education for all, especially the disenfranchised. The Rothenbergs envisioned education as the key to unlocking and unleashing the power within, to a life of greater possibilities and fulfillment. Their unwavering commitment to leveling the educational field has enriched the lives of many others including the founder, who benefited from their generosity, and, in turn, have used their knowledge, talents and gifts to continue the Rothenberg legacy by giving back.
The Anne and William Rothenberg Scholarship Fund, Inc will focus on the Liberian children who still suffer from the ravages of the civil war, 1989-2003, and where illiteracy and social inequality remain rampant.
Mission Statement
To advocate and provide support for the education of Liberian children in their quest and determination, to attain a formal education, with particular focus on those most in need.
Motto
Today’s educated youth is tomorrow’s leader
